Don’t Sear Your Conscience!

I just saw a film tonight that made me sad and at the same time made my blood boil.  It’s about a tribe in the Amazon who bury their children alive.

Now, from what I understand, this film is probably a re-enactment of what they do.  Whether it is or not, stuff like this happens.  It can be read here in the link just below.  It’s about a girl who survived the tribe’s custom of live burial!

In the first link where the film is shown, proves that God made people with a conscience.  They absolutely KNOW it’s wrong to kill another human being.  In the article in the second link, there was a child born who could not walk or talk by the age of two.  The tribal leaders concluded she had no soul and ordered the parents to kill her.  The parents could not get themselves to do it, and instead, they committed suicide by eating a posion root than obey the order of the tribal leaders.  Her 15 year old brother was told to kill his little sister.  As the story goes, “Hakani’s 15-year-old brother was then told he had to kill her. He dug a hole to bury her next to the village hut, which is where the tribe usually buries animals, and hit her over the head with a machete to knock her out. However, she woke up as she was being placed in the hole and the boy found he could not go through with the killing. Hakani’s grandfather then shot her with an arrow. He was so upset he tried to commit suicide, too.”

Again, this just goes to show that God has given man a conscience to know the difference between good and evil.  The parents committed suicide, the brother could not finish killing his sister, and the grandfather was so upset after shooing Hakani with an arrow that he attempted suicide.

God has given man a conscience and a sense of moral goodness, but as with the tribe leaders, it also goes to prove how a man’s conscience can be SEARED.  They corrupt and defile their conscience to the point that it means nothing anymore to just kill someone, even a little child!  It is pure evil and wickedness!  (The story does have a happy ending if you wish to read it.)

And I’ll tell you what I am tired of hearing.  I’m tired of hearing that babies are born sinful because of Adam’s sin!  That is PURE HOGWASH and an attack on God’s character!  Sin is NOT a substance that can be transferred to one person to the next….it’s a MORAL issue.  God does not make sinners in the womb!  Do you know what Ray Boltz, the famous “Christian musician” said when he came out of the “closet”?  He said, “If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I’m going to live.”  What a lie!   And he has so-called “Christians” cheering him on and patting him on the back and condoning his lifestyle.  Do you know what the Biblical instructions are?  We are told concerning those who call themselves Christians:

“I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not to even eat with such a person.”

WAKE UP CHRISTIANS!  God did NOT make you so that you were born a homosexual, God did not make you a liar, a fornicator, a drunkard, a murderer, abusive, a pedophile, etc. etc.!  That’s your excuse to enjoy your sinful lifestyle.  These are soul-damning sins that will cost you your soul for all eternity!

And that’s another thing.  ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED!?  Hogwash! I can’t believe I fell for that teaching for so many years.   To think that the sins of the flesh as stated in Gal. 5:19:21 and elsewhere, that if a Christian falls into living those sins, he will not lose his salvation because he had a PAST MOMENT of faith!  To preach the LIE that all past, present, and FUTURE SINS are aleady forgiven, is exactly that…a lie.  No where in the Bible does it say your FUTURE sins are automatically forgiven…..NOT ONE.  For you to say something like that, you don’t understand the ATONEMENT of what Christ did on the cross for us.  Please don’t rush off to crying “Grace, grace, grace!” Grace doesn’t give us a license to live ungodly lives.  Or, “I’m imputed with Christ’s righteousness, so God doesn’t see me, the sinner, all He sees is Jesus Christ!  God is NOT BLIND!   Nowhere in the Bible does it say Christ’s obedient life (righteousness) is transferred to you or me.   It’s interesting that the sins that will keep an unsaved person out of heaven are the SAME SINS that will let a Christian enjoy eternal bliss with our heavenly Father for all eternity???  You can be a “Christian adulterer,” a “Christian liar,” a “Christian murderer,” a “Christian fornicator” a “Christian drunkard,” a “Christian homosexual,” and still enjoy eternal bliss with Jesus?  Are you losing the common sense God gave you?  Why do you believe these lies?  No wonder the world laughs.  We need to wake up to these lies.

And don’t go using ROMANS 7 as YOUR excuse!  Oh God forgive me!  I remember my sister coming to me in tears, very broken, and didn’t even weigh 99 pounds wet because of her drug addiction.  Supposedly she accepted Christ a couple of months before this, and was taught the ungodly doctrine of OSAS as she attended church.  I remember her begging me for an answer, “WHY DO I DO THIS?  I DON’T WANT TO, BUT I CAN’T HELP IT. WHY?”  She sobbed and sobbed.  I thought I was comforting her by bringing her attention to Romans 7 and how Paul had the same problem….how he wanted to do right, but couldn’t, and that was his plot in life and he just had to try and live right.  God FORGIVE ME for telling her such a lie!  I only repeated to her what I WAS TAUGHT.  That was Paul’s life BEFORE HE CAME TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS HIS SAVIOR!  He killed Christians and tried to destroy the church. Go to Romans chapter 6 and 8 folks.  That person in Romans 7 did not exist anymore.  He was telling of his life under the law and how he was a slave to sin and how Christ delivered him.  I should have directed my sister to Romans 7:24-25.  To this day, 4 years later, she is still a drug addict and on the streets.  If only I can find her.

Apostasy surely is rampant.  We should avoid like the plague these churches that preach the lie of original sin and once saved always saved.   Read your own Bible and study this out.  All one has to do is look around and see what kind of fruit these false doctrines produce.

More later….

Who do you love more….God or your sin? Also, what particular sin are you referring to? Is it temptation or committing the sin? If it’s temptation, temptation is not a sin otherwise Jesus, who also suffered temptation, would have sinned all the time.

Also, the Bible defines the word “sin” as a transgression of the law and conscience (1 John 3:4; James 4:17). Sin is not a substance, but a moral issue….what we decide to do. We can decide to obey God or disobey Him, just like Adam and Eve had the same chance.

On the other spectrum here, people would accuse me of a “works salvation,” and therefore Jesus came for nothing, which is not the case at all.

We need the atoning work of Jesus Christ
because we haven’t obeyed God, NOT because we couldn’t obey God. In fact, it is because we have the ability to obey God that we are liable to punishment for our disobedience. And it is because we deserve punishment that we need His atonement. But if we couldn’t obey, we couldn’t be punished, and therefore wouldn’t need Jesus. While we are capable of obedience, our obedience is not capable of atoning for our sins. Therefore our ability to obey does not nullify the necessity for the atonement of Christ.

Now,for your question,”Is your belief that a person who believes on the Lord Jesus at one moment in time but still struggles with sin isn’t saved at all?”

Believing on the Lord Jesus at one moment in time does not guarantee salvation no matter what you do after that. The Scriptures are full of examples of this and warnings to Christians. If you truly are a Christian, Romans 6 should be your life. Christ came to set us free from sin.

“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” The same man who said, “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” He also said, “I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.”

Either we will be a servant to sin, or a servant of righteousness for holiness.

Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

These are just samples that let us know we do not have to sin.

I hope this helps. May we encourage one another to live for HIM.
